- Are you pursuing or intending to pursue a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or Information?
- Are you entering your sophomore year or beyond, a graduate student, or recently graduated from one of the University of Michigan’s three campuses?
- Do you currently work for or have you accepted a job offer from one of our qualified employers*?
- If hired for a permanent position, is your job located in the State of Michigan?

If you answered “Yes” to all of the above, you are eligible to receive a scholarship of $5,000 or more!
This scholarship supports talented students and recent graduates pursuing careers in the semiconductor industry. Semiconductor technology is essential for the State of Michigan’s and the global economy’s future, driving innovation across industries, especially automotive.
The University of Michigan’s MAVERIC collaborative advances research and partners with industry leaders. The Michigander Scholars Program supports students with hands-on experience and financial aid, positioning the State of Michigan to lead in electric vehicle transition.
We will accept applications on a rolling basis. The first wave of awards will be announced August 1, 2024, with subsequent announcements continuing monthly until December 1, 2024.
